On a family-run farm near Builth Wells, Beacons Bluff is a low-key, outdoorsy base that feels shaped by the landscape around it. The cabins look over the lake and open countryside, and the rhythm here is simple: mornings with boots by the door, days spent in the hills or down by the river, and evenings outside as the light fades over the water. Some stays come with a wood-fired hot tub, which makes particular sense after a long walk. Guests can also swim, paddle or kayak on the lake, adding to the sense that this is less about glamping as a novelty and more about being properly outside, with a little comfort folded in.
