Luxury Holiday Cottages Anglesey

Why we love it

This is a stay for people who come to Anglesey for the edge of it all: the open sea, the lighthouse on the horizon, the seabird cliffs and the sense of weather moving through. Set on Holy Island with views towards South Stack and Ireland beyond, these former farm buildings feel rooted in the landscape rather than imposed on it, making the coast the main event from morning to night.

About the Property

Anglesey Sea Views is a small collection of carefully converted 19th-century outbuildings on the north-west side of Holy Island. The appeal lies in the balance between shelter and exposure: solid old stone walls, thoughtful interiors and your own private corner to settle into, with the sea always present beyond. Each cottage looks out towards the coast, with South Stack lighthouse providing a fixed point in the distance and the changing light doing the rest. After a day on the coastal path or around the reserve, the hot tub becomes less of an add-on and more part of the rhythm of staying here, especially when the sky clears and the headland falls quiet.

Location

Holy Island, Anglesey

Holy Island has a tougher, wilder feel than some of Anglesey’s softer coastal stretches. This side of the island is shaped by cliffs, open water and big skies, with the South Stack headland drawing walkers, birdwatchers and anyone happiest near the sea. The Anglesey Coastal Path threads through the landscape, passing coves, heathland and dramatic viewpoints, while nearby Trearddur Bay and Rhosneigr offer a gentler contrast of sandy beaches and low-key coastal life. It’s also well placed for wider island exploring, with Snowdonia and the ferry port at Holyhead both within easy reach.
