Why we love it
Halzephron House is all about exposure to the elements in the best possible sense: sea on the horizon, salt in the air, and a sense of standing at the edge of Cornwall with very little between you and the Atlantic. The setting on the headland gives the whole place a rare spaciousness, while the observatory and dark night skies add another layer of stillness once the sun has gone down.

About the Property
Set in four acres above Halzephron Cove, this is a collection of thoughtfully placed stays that share one defining quality: a constant relationship with the coast. Each looks out to sea and has its own garden, so even when you stay tucked away, the landscape remains the main event. Days begin with bright air and open views, then unfold at the pace of the surrounding footpaths and beaches. Back at the house and cabins, the mood is simple and restorative, with enough privacy to feel secluded and enough shared grounds to give the place a gentle, communal rhythm. The observatory is an especially lovely touch, turning clear Cornish nights into part of the experience rather than the end of it.
Location
The Lizard Peninsula
This part of the Lizard has a wilder, less polished feel than some of Cornwall’s better-known stretches, which is precisely its charm. The headlands are dramatic, the coves feel half-hidden, and the South West Coast Path threads everything together in long, wind-bright walks. Nearby, you’ll find sandy beaches, a village pub and a landscape shaped as much by weather and sea as by tourism. It’s a corner of Cornwall that rewards those happy to slow down, look outward and spend most of the day between cliff edge, shoreline and open sky.
