Why we love it
What makes Into The Peaks stand out is its balance of seclusion and ease: a small cluster of shepherds huts set in a peaceful meadow between two streams, yet close enough to walk into Hathersage for coffee, supper or a pint. It has the simplicity people come to the Peaks for, but without feeling remote or makeshift.

About the Property
Into The Peaks sits in a particularly appealing corner of the Peak District: tucked into a quiet meadow with water running on either side, but within easy reach of one of the National Park’s most likeable villages. The four shepherds huts feel small-scale and personal rather than part of a larger glamping set-up, making this somewhere to come for proper stillness after a day out on the hills. Mornings are for stepping outside to open views and the sound of the streams; afternoons for walking straight from the door or wandering into Hathersage. It suits those who want the romance of a rural stay, but also the reassurance of good pubs, cafés and village life within strolling distance.
Location
Hathersage, Peak District
Hathersage is one of the Peak District’s most useful bases, with a lively village centre and some of the National Park’s best walking country all around it. This is the Dark Peak at its most accessible: big moorland edges, gritstone outcrops, river valleys and footpaths that draw you out for full days without needing much planning. There is a long literary and climbing history here, but the real appeal is the rhythm of the place — early starts on the hills, a leisurely lunch in the village, then a slow return as the light fades across the valley.
