Why we love it
What makes 3 Trees Glamping stand out is its balance of seclusion and village life: four pods set among woods and fields, yet close enough to wander into Wirksworth for a drink or supper. It feels gently rural rather than remote, with alpacas on site and walking trails slipping away into the Dales from the gate.

About the Property
3 Trees Glamping is a small, year-round retreat on the edge of Wirksworth, where the mood is peaceful, unfussy and rooted in the landscape around it. With just four wooden pods on site, it has an intimate feel, softened by surrounding fields and woodland and the occasional appearance of the resident alpacas. This is the kind of place that suits slow mornings, easy walks and evenings spent back in your own corner of the Derbyshire Dales. One of its greatest strengths is how naturally it connects town and countryside: you can head out on footpaths towards deeper rural stretches and Carsington Water, then return to Wirksworth’s independent pubs, shops and restaurants without needing to make a production of it.
Location
Wirksworth
Wirksworth is one of those Derbyshire market towns with a distinct personality: historic, compact and full of independent spirit. Stone streets, old industrial buildings and a lively arts scene give it more character than polish, while the surrounding Derbyshire Dales bring in the softer pleasures of walking, cycling and wide, open views. From here, the Peak District feels close at hand without losing the appeal of a proper town base. Carsington Water is nearby for waterside walks and outdoor activity, while the footpaths around Wirksworth make it easy to trade cafés and pubs for fields, woods and rolling countryside in the space of an afternoon.
